An interactive whiteboard is an interactive board that connects to a computer and a projector. The projector projects the computer’s desktop on the board’s surface and you can interact and control the computer using a finger, pen or other device. Interactive whiteboards are used in conference rooms, classrooms work groups, training rooms, broadcasting studios and wherever the need arises.
Boxlight, eBeam, Hitachi, Mimio, NEC, Numonics, Panasonic, PolyVision, QOMO, Quartet and Teamboard specialize in interactive whiteboards. Popular interactive whiteboards are 3M’s DB578, Hitachi’s FX-TRIO-88, Mimio’s 78" diagonal and 88" diagonal, NEC’s IW77, Numonic’s Intelliboard Interactive Whiteboard 77", Panasonic’s UB-T780 and UB-T761, Polyvision’s Touch Sensitive TS 620 and TSL 610, QOMO’s QWB56 and QWB200EM, Quartet’s Q8000, and Teamboard’s TMWM6250CL.
"This is used by a group of Business Analysts currently designing a new workflow solution for our firm (major project). Since we use process maps as our basic work tool, this board was exactly what was needed to create and maintain our maps from design sessions. We determined that 80% of the normal whiteboard work had to be repeated a some later date. Now we simply pull up the clearly dated map copy for comparative work purposes, I calculated that it would take only 35 saved hours for the board to pay for itself. After a week of heavy use, it looks as though we will save around 12 hours per week by circulating copied maps. This will improve communication (same map and notes for all), improve meeting attention (no note taking), and reduce backfill reviews. Now the only problem we have is that other areas of our IT Department want to use it. Chuck Haag Vice President Process Development Unit national Default Exchange"
"We recently purchased 2 StarBoard FX-TRIO 77 and 2 Hitachi 2700 lumen xga projectors from Clary. The order was smooth and came in the time Alex our rep promised it would come in.Thank you Alex. "
